Kerry Sanders Retires from NBC News
Paige Kornblue and NBC News veteran correspondent Kerry Sanders
He nailed it.
Each story.
Each story he covered. Each morning. Each evening. Each city. Each state. Each country. Wherever NBC Nightly News and TODAY sent him, Kerry Sanders then brought us.
As a reporter in the field, it isn’t easy rolling into town, gathering facts in a flash and breaking it all down beautifully so that the rest of us can see what’s going on there. But this NBC veteran correspondent was, as Lester Holt explained, “A master storyteller whose work often left us smiling.”
During my time at WPTV, we often worked alongside each other on the big stories in Miami, Palm Beach and Broward Counties. Many were heavy, tragic stories. He made it all look so easy… and became a friend along the way.
Cheers, Kerry, for more than three decades at NBC News and your retirement! How lucky NBC was to have you and how lucky we were to watch you.
Finally… you will have time to join me for lunch!!!
